And just like that, weβre back again to share all the latest happenings in the world of Breez, Bitcoin, and Lightning. Hereβs what weβve got to talk about this month:

Misty Breez: Lightning Made Easy β‘οΈ
This month, we announced Misty Breez β our new reference app built on the Breez SDK (Nodeless) β in Bitcoin Magazine. Just like how Bertha Benz proved what cars were really for with her 104km joyride (read the full story in our announcement), Misty Breez shows what Lightning can be with the Breez SDK.
Itβs built in Flutter, fully open source, and designed to showcase best practices for building intuitive UI/UX for Lightning payments. Weβre also offering Misty Breez as a ready-made white-label solution for partners building new apps β and it comes with features like:
β‘ Send payments via Bolt11, Bolt12, BIP353, LNURL-Pay, Lightning address, BTC address
β¬ οΈ Receive payments via Bolt11, LNURL-Withdraw, LNURL-Pay, Lightning address, BTC address
π¬ Receive payments even when the app is offline (requires notifications)
π€ A customizable Lightning address like
user@breez.fun
π Users control their keys
πͺ No nodes or channel management
Try Misty Breez on Android or iOS β use it or make it your own!
It really is Lightning Made Easy.
Lightning-Fast Bitcoin Payments on the Web π₯οΈ
Hot on the heels of Misty Breez, we dropped another big release: the Breez SDK (Nodeless) now supports WebAssembly (WASM).
That means developers can now add Lightning-fast Bitcoin payments directly into browsers and Node.js environments β no installs, no nodes, users just open and go. This new feature was part of the latest release (0.8) of the Breez SDK β Nodeless, and it represents a big leap forward in our mission to bring Bitcoin payments to every app. The SDK now runs anywhere you build: mobile, desktop, and (now) the web.
Pulling this off took serious engineering effort behind the scenes β you can read the full breakdown here β and it was featured in Bitcoin Magazine, where Shinobi had this to say about why the feature matters:
People need to be able to open any device, any app, and be able to access whatever bitcoin they have available for spending. That wonβt happen magically by itself. That requires work. That requires collaboration on standards. That requires doing the engineering work that doesnβt make for attention grabbing headlines.
Breez has been absolutely killing it in terms of doing this kind of work.
And thatβs not all that was shipped in the 0.8 release:
β¬οΈ We dropped the minimum send amount to 21 sats
β¬οΈ We lowered the minimum receive amount to 100 sats
π΅ Users can now pay fees with non-Bitcoin assets like USDT
We understand it can be hard to keep up with all the updates, but luckily, you subscribe to this (awesome) newsletter π
Lightning in the Wild: A Flash! π΄
More and more developers are putting Bitcoin payments at the heart of the apps theyβre building β solving real problems for real people.
This month, we spotted a fresh update from our friends in the Caribbean: Flash. Their app just became the latest to go Nodeless, using the Breez SDK to bring Bitcoin payments to their community.
You can read more about Flashβs journey β and why they chose the Breez SDK β on our blog.
Goats, Beers, and Misty Breez π₯
What do goats, beer, and Bitcoin have in common? A memorable night at NYCβs favorite Bitcoin bar, PubKey. Danny and Umi joined Jonathan to host this monthβs Lightning Meetup, where the trio demoed Misty Breez β even paying sats to feed the Lightning Goats (yes, really). If you havenβt tried it, you should.
This month, Danny also joined Lynne and Israel on the Build with Bitcoin podcast to talk through Breezβs Bitcoin Payments Report, alongside 1A1zβs Dan OβPrey. Together, they made the case for why Bitcoin is much more than just digital gold.
And to wrap things up, Roy joined Juan Galtβs Bitcoin Magazine Spaces to discuss the big developments in Lightning since the start of the year β and the ever-growing momentum weβve been building at Breez.

Time to saaaaayy goodbyeeee (for this month).
Weβll see you all next month for more on whatβs happening in Breez, Bitcoin, and Lightning.
Until then, remember: the best time to get into Lightning is now β it always has been.
See yβall next time βοΈ
