Summer’s wrapping up but the pace at Breez hasn’t slowed for a second. From new partners to fresh features, it’s been months of nonstop building and more people using bitcoin every day. Here’s what’s new in the world of Breez:

Summer’s for Building ⚒️
Let’s Talk Breez 🚀
Lightning is Sorted ⚡️
If bitcoin is for everyone, it can’t be limited to expensive smartphones. It has to work on the devices billions of people actually use every day.
That’s exactly what Sorted are doing.
Their mission is to bring bitcoin to over a billion feature phones and low-powered smartphones. Backed by Tether and already at 250k+ downloads, they’ve just gone live with Lightning, powered by the Breez SDK.
You can see the integration in action above: magic internet money moving from one person to the next at Lightning-fast speeds, all on a $10 feature phone.
See, the next wave of newly minted bitcoiners won’t just come from those who can afford fancy phones. They’ll come from anyone in the world — from people on iPhones to those tapping $10 devices.
This is how the future of money reaches truly everyone.
Breez is the Word 💥
We could shout from the rooftops about why your app needs to add bitcoin with the Breez SDK. But honestly, it’s always better when it comes straight from the people building with it.
This month we heard from Klever, Yopaki, ordermoon, and Flash — just a few of our 50+ partners. They shared what it’s like to add bitcoin with Breez, why developers find it so simple, and why their users are loving the results.
From neobanks in Mexico to restaurants in Sofia to feature phones across Africa, one thing is clear: if you’re building the next generation of bitcoin-powered apps, you should do it with the Breez SDK.
Summer’s For Building ⚒️
School might be out, but at Breez the building never stopped. July was packed with big updates for both the SDK and our reference app, Misty Breez.
For the SDK, we rolled out cross-asset payment support on Nodeless. That means users can now pay in USDT with BTC balances, or the other way around. We also added on-chain monitoring enhancements and new routing configurations, giving developers even more tools to deliver a world-class UX.
Misty Breez leveled up too. Users can now receive bitcoin without specifying an amount first, there’s also support for BOLT12 payer notes, plus a bunch of improvements and fixes across the app.
Let’s Talk Breez 🚀
Another month talking about bitcoin. We love it.
Roy spent much of July driving home one key message: Lightning is the key to bitcoin’s future growth. First up he was in Riga for the Baltic Honeybadger Conference, where he was on the main stage moderating a discussion on why Lightning is the common language of the bitcoin economy. He also sat down with Tomer Niv of Entrée Capital, where he went into more detail on how Lightning is transforming bitcoin from a store of value to an everyday currency.
This month also saw Danny catching up with the folks at ordermoon to share why Breez wants to see bitcoin in every app and how it’s already happening. And, finally, Umi joined Scott Sibley of SHAmory to talk about her path into bitcoin and the mission she’s on to bring it to everyone around the globe.
That’s all for this month, folks.
Until then, remember: the best time to get into Lightning is now — it always has been.
See y’all next time ✌️
