🌊 #020 Feel the Breez
Bitcoin. In. Every. App.
Summer’s around the corner and we’re (somehow) already at the halfway point of 2026. While we work out how that happened, it’s been another jam-packed month for Breez, let’s dive into what happened over the last 31 days:
Bitcoin in Every App 🌍
Bringin Instant Bitcoin to Europe 🇪🇺
Lightning in the Wild: Coffee & BTC ☕
Shootin’ the Breez: Club Orange & Tuscany 🎙️
Bitcoin in Every App 🌍
Our mission is to bring bitcoin to every app, so anyone can move value wherever they are in the world, without any third parties getting involved. Value finally moving like information.
This year, we’ve taken a big leap toward that goal, so we wanted to share the stories behind a few of the integrations we’re now powering.
Cake Wallet was built on a simple promise: make payments easy. One of the obstacles was bitcoin, too slow to spend and too expensive for small amounts. Rather than ship a compromise to their users, they waited for years. When the Spark implementation of the Breez SDK arrived, they dived straight in. A weekend of building later and instant bitcoin is now in the hands of over 1.75 million people.
Primal brought value transfer inside the social feed. As Nostr’s most popular app, it already let users own their identity and their data. Money was the missing piece. Its 2023 wallet was custodial, a stopgap on a protocol designed to cut out intermediaries. This year they closed that gap. Zap a post and the bitcoin lands in your friend’s wallet. No middleman, no friction.
Exolix took the hard road first: building Lightning in-house. That brought the usual headaches, managing their own node, their own channels, and their own liquidity. It worked, but it wasn’t worth the upkeep. One engineer replaced the lot with the Breez SDK in “about a day”. Now every swap that touches bitcoin clears in seconds.
Klever spent years hunting for bitcoin that was fast and non-custodial. Custodial shortcuts meant giving up control. Wrapped versions meant giving up real bitcoin. Neither worked for an app where users hold their own keys. The Breez SDK was the first to tick every box for Klever’s 100,000+ users.
Different apps, different users, one pattern for all: anywhere value moves, the Breez SDK is there to help move it.
So, what are you waiting for? Start building today.
Bringin Instant Bitcoin to Europe 🇪🇺
Bringin is a European fintech helping folks across the continent use bitcoin in their everyday lives. To date, their users have moved over 170 BTC, more than $13 million. The Breez SDK has powered the bitcoin underneath for a while, but last month it got even faster and cheaper for their users.
Bringin migrated their entire user base from the Liquid implementation of the Breez SDK to Spark. Sending now costs around 70% less, and settlement dropped from ten to fifteen seconds down to two.
Reducing that gap matters because of what Bringin is trying to be: the everyday account for Europeans. People don’t move their money for slightly better. SEPA Instant is already fast, cards already work everywhere, so matching the old rails isn’t enough. To win in Europe, bitcoin has to be better. Now it is.
Save in bitcoin, spend in euros, send value instantly across the eurozone.
All powered by the Breez SDK.
Lightning in the Wild: Coffee & BTC ☕
“But can you actually buy anything with it?”
One of the most common questions on bitcoin, and still the easiest to answer (yes, you can).
This month we scoured the Bitcoin desert to find ourselves in Las Vegas, Nevada for Bitcoin 2026, where we found Girl Gone Crypto from the Cake team buying a coffee with their app. Instant, no fuss, no waiting. That’s the same instant bitcoin experience now in the pockets of over 1.75 million Cake users, ready to spend anywhere, anytime.
Exactly what bitcoin was always meant to do.
Shootin’ the Breez: Club Orange & Tuscany 🎙️
Last month, we sat down with Matteo Pellegrini, CEO of Club Orange, where we discussed how the world’s largest bitcoin-only social network brought instant bitcoin to their users with the Breez SDK and the experience of building with it.
Finally, the Breez team headed to Viareggio for the Tuscany Lightning Summit. At the premier Lightning event of the year, Roy moderated a panel on building bitcoin companies alongside Sergej Kotliar (Bitrefill), Andre Neves (ZBD), Ethan Marcus (Flashnet), and Marco Argentieri (Ark Labs).
Our takeaway from the week in Tuscany: the best builders are building on bitcoin. Pass it on.
That’s it for May.
Remember folks, the best time to add instant bitcoin to your app is now.
It always has been.
See y’all next time ✌️
