🌊 #021 Feel the Breez
50% of 2026 is complete.
Bitcoin can now reach anyone, even the people who live on dollars. That’s the big news from June, and what a way to close out the first half of 2026. Send USDT/USDC went live, 13 new apps were featured as the latest to bring instant bitcoin to their users, and an Italian developer sent sats using nothing but his glasses. Here’s the latest from the world of Breez, Bitcoin, and Lightning:

Send USDT/USDC is Live 💵
Hold bitcoin, send dollars.
Any app or service with the Breez SDK can now send USDT and USDC across 30+ networks, instantly, straight from a bitcoin balance. One balance, no second network for the app or its users to manage. Bitcoin goes out, dollars arrive.
The clever part: no stablecoin has to be issued on Lightning for it to work. The dollars stay where they already live, and bitcoin reaches them through interoperability. For developers, what used to mean integrating a separate blockchain is now a few lines of code.
And the significance cuts both ways. Users no longer have to choose between holding the soundest money and paying in the dollars the world (still) runs on. Stablecoins gain a new audience overnight: every bitcoiner is now able to pay in dollars without ever holding one. Our partners told us their users want instant bitcoin, but they also want access to stablecoins. Now they have both, and Receive USDT/USDC is on the way.

The Class of Q2 2026 🎓
This quarter, we featured 13 more apps that’ve brought instant bitcoin to their products with the Breez SDK.
From a calorie tracker and live chess on Nostr to the biggest bitcoin-only social network on the planet, here’s your Class of Q2 2026: Agicash, AGNT|HODL, Alignment, Blink, Bringin, Chess Tattoo, Club Orange, IbisWallet, Nostr District, SpecieSnapp, SQRIL, Tapnob, and Unify.
Wildly different products, every one now running on instant bitcoin. And that variety is the whole point. There’s no single category where the Breez SDK belongs, no “typical” integration. A chess app adds value transfer for the same reason a payments network does: their users want to move value the way they already move messages. Instantly, to anyone, wherever they are.
Anywhere value moves, the Breez SDK shows up to help move it. That’s what bitcoin in every app looks like in practice: not one killer app, but every kind of app, quarter after quarter.
More Proof: It’s Sorted 📖
A new story landed on our case study hub this month: Lightning-fast bitcoin on hardware most gave up on twenty years ago.
Sorted is a crypto app built for the phones many forgot about. The company started when founder Stephen Browne bought a feature phone in Hong Kong and found an app store with 1,200+ apps and not a single crypto app. There are 300 to 500 million feature-phone users worldwide, many among the 1.4 billion adults with no bank account at all, and Sorted decided they were the market. The lightest crypto app on Google Play (around 10 MB) now brings Lightning-fast bitcoin to those devices, surpassing 500,000+ downloads across 160 countries. Running a node on an old Nokia was never going to happen, and a custodial backend was never on the table. The Breez SDK handled both. For users who lose 10-12% of every remittance to fees, that’s not a convenience, it’s real money back in their pockets.
Lightning in the Wild: Pay by Sight 🕶️
This month we spotted Lightning developer Vincenzo Palazzo paying with bitcoin through his glasses. Look, pay, done. No phone, no card, no counter-top gymnastics.
From a decade-old Nokia to a pair of glasses, that’s the flexibility the Breez SDK was built for. It slots into whatever developers are building, phones old and new, browsers, wearables, or whatever comes next. And underneath it all, bitcoin does the same job it always does: moving value like information, instantly, to anyone, anywhere.
Bitcoin in every app. Even the ones on your face.
Lessons from Lugano 🎙️
School’s out for summer. Well, not for everyone.
42 students from around the world gave up their summer to learn how to build bitcoin’s next chapter at Plan B’s Summer School in Lugano, and Danny was invited to teach on the marketing track.
His talk covered lessons learned across a decade of scaling brands, from Wise to Breez, and he flew home a little obsessed, and in the best way. Spending a week with the people who’ll build bitcoin’s next decade will do that to you. You can read what he shared with the students, and what he took away from the week, right here.
TL;DR: the future’s orange, folks.
That’s June done, and the first half of 2026 is complete.
Six months in: Stable Balance, Passkey Login, Contacts API, Cash App added as on-ramp, Send USDT/USDC live, and 25+ new apps integrated. It’s been a great opening half, let’s see what the second has to offer.
Remember folks, the best time to add instant bitcoin to your app is now. It always has been.
See y’all next time ✌️
