Introducing Glow ⚡️
Meet Glow, our new reference app, powered by Breez. It’s the bitcoin app for everyone to experience and developers to explore. It’s honestly what bitcoin UX should always feel like.
Onboarding starts with Passkey Login: seedless onboarding and restore, with no recovery phrase needed. Once you’ve signed up, you can grab your own Lightning address to share with friends, save theirs with Contacts which syncs across devices, and onboard to bitcoin instantly with Cash App, so sats arrive in your balance in seconds.
When you’d rather sit out bitcoin’s volatility, Stable Balance lets you hold dollars and earn sats while you do, still sending and receiving in bitcoin. And when you need stablecoins, you can send USDT and USDC straight from a bitcoin balance, with receive coming soon.
For developers, every feature in Glow is from the Breez SDK, and the app is open-source: fork it, rebrand it, and ship it as your own. What took us years to build, now takes builders minutes.

Freedomia: 24 Hours Later 💳
Freedomia issues virtual debit cards funded with crypto: top up in bitcoin, the balance converts to dollars in the background, and the card works anywhere that accepts Visa. Every card comes with its own Lightning Address, so topping up is as simple as sending money to an email address.
Bitcoin was always the quickest way onto the card, which made it the worst thing to lose. So when the third-party swap provider behind their bitcoin deposits went down, the bitcoin route onto the card went down with it.
How it started: a broken deposit route. How it’s going: Freedomia requested an API key at 10pm and was live in production by 9pm the next day. Bitcoin goes in, dollars land on the card, and the full path from invoice to a spendable balance takes seconds.
The same integration also powers Freedomia Swap, an open service with 1,200+ cross-chain pairs that needs no card and no account. The fix to one product shipped as a second one, and in its first 48 hours, more than a quarter of all payments came from people who weren’t Freedomia customers at all.
They set out to repair a deposit route; they came out of it with a new product.

Earlier this year we added instant bitcoin onboarding with Cash App to the Breez SDK, making it even easier for users to get their hands on bitcoin. Club Orange rolled it out this month, and their users are loving it: they onboard to bitcoin instantly, right inside the app, and sats arrive in seconds.
